The Jellyfish

IC 443, aka The Jellyfish, is a large supernova remnant in the constellation Gemini. Our current understanding is that IC 443 is the remnants of a Type II supernova, the ultimate fate of a massive star, which occurred approximately 3000 to 35,000 years ago.
